Quinte & District Rehabilitation

land acknowledgement

She:kon – Hello

Quinte Rehab respectfully acknowledges that the land we operate on has been inhabited and cared for by Indigenous peoples, including Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe nations, and the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte in Tyendinaga as part of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, for thousands of years.

This land remains unceded territory and continues to be home to many Indigenous communities.
We recognize and respect our service area is within the “Dish with One Spoon treaty”, which represents a peace agreement grounded in Indigenous traditions.

We strive to continuously learn the deep and lasting impacts of colonization and maintain our commitment to honouring and preserving the land and its resources as we carry out our work.

It is a privilege to serve on this land and in these communities.  We are committed to fostering meaningful relationships and learning from the leadership and wisdom of our Indigenous neighbours.
We honour the invaluable contributions Indigenous peoples have made and continue to make in this region and view this acknowledgement as an important step in our ongoing journey toward reconciliation.

Nia:wen – thank you
