What started as a small company of 12 therapists in 1996, Quinte and District Rehabilitation (Quinte Rehab) www.quinterehab.com in Belleville, Ontario has grown to a team of 55 therapists with 10 office support staff. Therapist owned, the centre is a multidisciplinary company providing Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, Social Work and Dietetic Services to clients of all ages.
“Our focus began providing home and school based services throughout Hastings and Prince Edward Counties,” says Quinte Rehab Executive Director Jennifer Mills. “Our geography has expanded to include Brighton through to the Kingston and surrounding areas. Currently Quinte Rehab provides over 35,000 community visits per year, to over 8,000 clients in our care. In addition we provide training and education sessions at workplaces throughout the area.”
The company offices, now located at the Belleville Ramada Inn, have expanded from 500 square feet to over 3000, to support the growing list of therapy services.
“Although we’ve expanded over the past 20 years, our purpose has remained the same, to provide client-centered, cost-effective therapy to clients when and where they need it.”
In 2014, Quinte and District Rehabilitation was awarded OHIP funding for a community physiotherapy clinic. The doors opened for Quinte Rehab Physiotherapy Clinic in March of that year.
“The Quinte Rehab Physiotherapy Clinic provides direct therapy, assessments, consultations, and much more,” explains Physiotherapist Nicola Robertson. “We treat all ages, all diagnoses, and if it’s something we can’t treat, we still assess and refer.”
“Our focus is working together to support individuals to reach their goals.”
Quinte Rehab is in the unique position to offer multidisciplinary services through both our community visits and clinic services. This allows us to meet the client’s needs, when and where they need them.
